About This Event
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition developed by the University of Queensland. It challenges students to present a compelling spoken presentation on their thesis topic and its significance in just three minutes, using a single static slide. This event at IIUC CSE FEST 2026 promotes public speaking, presentation, and research translation skills.
Eligibility
Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students working on projects/theses.
Important Rules
- 1A single static PowerPoint slide is permitted (no slide transitions, animations, or movement).
- 2No additional media (sound, video) or props (costumes, musical instruments) are allowed.
- 3Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum; exceeding this results in disqualification.
- 4Presentations are to be spoken word (no poems, songs, or raps).
